Citizen Commons unveiled the Youth Action DoSomething Change Makers Social Action Hub on 27 November 2021.
The YouthAction DoSomething Social Action Changemakers Hub is an intentional effort to build on some of the learnings from the EndSARS protests. it seeks to activate and amplify new opportunities for young Nigerians to make their voices count as change leaders and active citizens in the pursuit of our New Nigeria.
The Hub is virtual a community of and for student leaders, change-makers, community leaders, change leaders, and social impact enthusiasts. The platform provides a wide range of resources to widen capacity, increase access to resources and emerging, established and youth leaders with tools and resources needed for active citizenship, activism and collective action for social change
The event also featured a panel discussion on activating and amplifying social change by Empowering a new generation of Change leaders and Social Innovators, Mofoyeke Omale of Redberyl and Olajide Charles of Areai4Africa and our own Olalekan Oshunkoya as the moderator.
The hub is equipped with features such as online learning, profile and connections with private messaging and social profiles, communities of practice groups, public forums, activity feeds, resource library, impactjob postings, events and grants and related opportunities for engagement and more.
