TechCorps is an initiative of citizen commons that provides a unique opportunity for fresh graduates interested in launching a career in technology to access cutting-edge training and gain work experience while completing their national service.
It is a paid program where recruited fellows leverage their primary assignment to acquire specialised tech skills, and use technology as a tool to solve Nigeria’s development challenges while gaining practical experience to launch a successful tech experience post-national service.

TECHCORPS EXTENDS THE SERVICE-LEARNING VISION OF THE NATIONAL SERVICE BY PROVIDING ENROLLED CORPS MEMBERS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO USE TECHNOLOGY TO FIND INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO SOME OF THE CHALLENGES FACING OUR COUNTRY WHILE ACQUIRING PRACTICAL SKILLS FOR CAREER SUCCESS IN TECH.
This intervention is designed to help bridge the skills gap, reduce unemployment and prepare fresh graduates to transition to a tech career without necessarily having a tech background.
The first batch is about rounding up and the Tech corps just added new corp members. Techcorps extends the service-learning vision of the national service by providing enrolled corps members with an opportunity to use technology to find innovative solutions to some of the challenges facing our country while acquiring practical skills for career success in tech
